I am a Player Development coach for a basketball training center in the Metro Detroit area. I have seen my share of good players. I saw Kenyon Addison at the Motor City Roundball Classic this weekend. These are a few comments that I jotted down as I watched him. He has an awesome explosion off of the dribble, he has a tremendous motor, he is a leader on the court, and does not take a play off. He can break the press by multiple weapons in his arsenal. He has a nice floater, he can finish at the rim with contact. HIs defense is very aggressive yet without fouling. He had 4-steals with only two fouls in the fourth quarter. You were wondering if he can shoot the 3-ball? He hit the game tying 3-point shot with 3-seconds to go on the clock from 3′ behind the N.B.A point line. That shot sent his team to overtime. All of this was done against the #25th ranked High School team in the United States. Oh! did I mention that he has a 3.6- 3.9 grade point average. I left the game so impressed and wondering why this young man has not received more coverage or more looks from Colleges. Someone take a look at this player,
and sign him soon. He is a Senior who deserves to play basketball at the next level.
In my opinion he should be a Div. I prospect, and go no less than a division II school.
